Next OpenLab OpenDay – 3pm Saturday 13th November @ The Apiary

The next OpenLab OpenNight is scheduled to kick off at 3pm Saturday 13th November @ The Apiary (formerly The Hackney Rose) (Suggested £2 donation), 458 Hackney Rd, E2 9EG.

As usual it is open to everyone – so if you would like to present or perform then, as always, put your name up on the WIKI :)

Opennight #8 – Thursday 12th August, The Hackney Rose

The next OpenNight installment takes place at the Hackney rose, 458 Hackney Rd, London, E29EG (http://thehackneyrose.org/).

Next OpenNight – 11 February 2010 @ the Fleapit

The next opennight will be on the 11 february at the Fleapit (event page) on columbia road. Thanks heap to Martin for finding it and Paul @ the fleapit for leting us use it, it is ticketed for the mere price of a beer :)

Open night is a night of performances where people can come along and try out their new open-source based creations in front of an audience, or just have a jam (e.g. wife swap, etc). Anyone is free to join in – just add your name on the list below or get in contact on the mailing list or send us a mail to rrmunro at gmail.

Performances can be from 10-25min, they can be work in progress or finished pieces, or just anything you want to play in front of an audience. It good to know how long they will be so we can fit as many in as possible

We can match audio and video people together as needed, so if you just do audio or video but not both then still feel free.

OpenNight @ The Roebuck

OpenLab is having an OpenNight tomorrow 22nd October at the Roebuck. OpenNight is a series of performance nights  where people can come along and try out their new stuff in front of an audience, or just have a jam.

If you use Open Source software for your creations, then you are welcome to join this and future OpenNights – just add yourself on the wiki page.

Confirmed for the innaugural OpenNight is:

Sonnamble: Peter Marsh, Conor Curran – double bass + lap steel + improvised electronics (Pure Data on 64Studio with auxillary Python app)

OpenLab 5 : Cafe OTO, 25th April 2009

Openlab are providing a day of workshops & presentations about opensource software, and performances in the evening at Cafe OTO, Dalston. There is a venerable lineup of OpenLab members providing some in depth knowledge during the day and some great performances at night. The preliminary line up goes like this:
